27 Sep Northampton Saints team up with STATSports to monitor player performance
STATSports are delighted to become Northampton Saints Official Performance Monitoring supplier.
Northampton Saints will now join the STATSports elite group of world-wide clients for at least the next four seasons.
With this cutting-edge technology, the physical toll placed on players throughout practice or games is made much clearer, and Saints’ head of strength and conditioning Tom Bullough is delighted to take the Club’s performance monitoring to the next level.
“This new partnership with STATSports will completely transform the way that we prepare for our matches and train during the week – we want to leave no stone unturned in order to improve,” he said.
“We’re really excited about how we can now integrate our data into daily training plans, and hope this relationship with STATSports can take us to new heights on the pitch.”
Within rugby union, STATSports already work with the England, Ireland, South Africa and France international sides, as well as five other Gallagher Premiership Rugby clubs, all the Irish provinces, and two Super Rugby outfits.
Saints’ staff are now receiving more information than ever before from each session, helping players and fitness staff understand the workloads of individuals to ensure the right measures are taken to avoid injuries.
And Richard Byrne, STATSports’ head of business development, is excited to add Northampton Saints to their impressive stable.
He said: “To link-up with Northampton Saints is a fantastic opportunity and we’re thrilled with this new agreement.
“Saints are an iconic Club within English rugby and boast a rich history of success, so we look forward to supporting them as the team aims for success on the pitch over the next few seasons.
“We hope that our ground-breaking technology will ensure that Saints’ players reach peak condition come matchday, giving them the platform to perform at their very best.”
