01 Mar Seattle Sounders FC to partner with STATSports ahead of the 2019 MLS season
STATSports is pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with Seattle Sounders FC ahead of the new MLS season.
Global leaders in sports GPS tracking, the Northern Ireland-based firm will provide the Sounders with performance monitoring devices to use in training and game day.
The Western Conference outfit will begin work with the revolutionary Apex tracking device immediately. The high-resolution units measure hundreds of physical metrics including distance, speed, acceleration, deceleration, high-speed running, and dynamic stress load.
And, vitally, allow the club’s fitness department to carefully manage players’ workloads, and injury rehabilitation programmes.
The 2016 MLS Cup champion and 2017 Western Conference champion advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals last season. And the Sounders are leaving nothing to chance in their bid to improve ahead of the new campaign.
Sounders’ Head of Performance Damian Roden was happy to welcome the addition of STATSports, pointing to their product’s incredible accuracy.
